Amanda Fisher

Amanda Fisher has extensive work experience in the field of user experience design and strategic advising. Amanda currently works as a Principal User Experience Designer at Surescripts since June 2022.

Prior to their current position, Amanda worked at Blue Cross NC from January 2019 to June 2022, where they held the roles of Principal Strategic Advisor and Senior Strategic Advisor. In these roles, they successfully created simple design solutions and turned emerging insights into profitable business ideas. Amanda also transformed ideas into design realities that had a strong emotional impact on consumers.

Before working at Blue Cross NC, Amanda was a Senior Design Lead at Fidelity Investments from May 2018 to January 2019. Amanda led design projects and contributed to the development of impactful design solutions.

Amanda also has experience as a design consultant. Amanda worked at Fisher-Creative Inc. from an unknown start date to April 2018, specializing in design strategy and digital experience consulting. Amanda was also a Senior User Interface Design Consultant at USER-VIEW, INC. from an unknown start date to January 2017.

In addition to their consultant roles, Amanda worked as a Multimedia Specialist at Red Hat from January 2016 to October 2016. Amanda also worked as a User Interface Design Consultant at Misys Healthcare Systems in 2006.

Early in their career, Amanda held a role as a Senior User Interface / User Experience Designer at HumanCentric from an unknown start date to 2005.

Amanda Fisher's education history includes a recent completion of Pragmatic Training at Pragmatic Institute in 2022. Prior to that, they attended North Carolina State University School of Design from 1992 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Design and Technology.
