Andrew Mellin

Andrew Mellin has held various roles in the healthcare technology industry. Andrew started their career as a Physician at Allina Hospitals and Clinics in 1998, where they later became the Medical Director for the implementation of Epic Clinical Systems. Andrew achieved total adoption of Epic by physicians at multiple community hospitals.

In 2001, Mellin joined McKesson Provider Technologies as a Product Manager, overseeing the strategy and design of outpatient electronic medical records. Andrew then became the Director of Physician Strategy at McKesson in 2004, where they developed and directed the overall strategy for McKesson's Horizon suite of physician solutions.

Mellin served as the VP, Medical Director for RedBrick Health in 2015 and as the VP, Medical Director, Population & Risk Management at McKesson from 2007 to 2015. In these roles, they were responsible for identifying strategic partnerships and creating marketing plans.

From 2016 to 2018, Mellin worked as the Chief Medical Officer at Spok, representing physician communication needs and driving improvements in provider efficiency and patient care through real-time information awareness and care team collaboration.

Most recently, Mellin joined Surescripts in 2018 as the VP, Chief Medical Information Officer, though specific details about their role are not provided.

Andrew Mellin has a well-rounded education history. Andrew obtained a BA in Biology from Cornell University from 1987 to 1990. Following this, Andrew attended Duke University School of Medicine from 1990 to 1994, where they earned their MD degree. Later on, they pursued an MBA in Finance at the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management from 1998 to 2001. It is worth noting that Andrew also holds a certification in Internal Medicine, as they are Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
