Ben Botsford has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries and roles. Ben started their career as a Software Developer at Socrates Analytics, where they worked on constructing an electronic health record application. Ben then moved on to The University of Texas at Austin, where they served as a Software Engineer and later as a Teaching Specialist, facilitating discussions, designing assignments, and instructing students in various biology courses. Following this, they worked as a Science Teacher at Pflugerville ISD, teaching Biology and Advanced Biology. Ben then joined Flatiron School as a Senior Python Curriculum Developer, leading the development of Python, SQL, and Flask curriculum, coaching junior team members, and aligning lesson plans with student needs. Ben is currently working at Surescripts as a Site Reliability Engineer. Overall, Ben has gained a strong background in software engineering, curriculum development, teaching, and site reliability engineering throughout their career.
