Edward Mitchell

Edward Mitchell has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Edward started their career at Intuit in 1997 as a Software Support Specialist and Quality Assurance professional, providing phone and chat support for Quicken and Turbo Tax products. Edward worked there until 2004.

In 2007, Edward joined Oregon State University as a Graduate Research Assistant and later became a Graduate Teaching Assistant from January 2010 to June 2010. During their time at the university, they conducted various research projects and assisted in scientific experiments in the fields of medicinal chemistry and microbiology.

Edward then worked at Oregon State University as a Faculty Research Assistant from December 2010 to June 2015. Edward'sresponsibilities included data and statistical analysis of DNA data, developing custom Python and Perl scripts, and collaborating on scientific manuscripts. Edward also sequenced and identified bacteria from the sea floor through genetic analysis.

From 2017 to 2021, Edward worked at the Employment Security Department as a Software Engineer. During this time, they focused on improving and extending the Next Generation Tax System (NGTS) using technologies such as C#, SQL, .NET, Microsoft Azure, and Git.

Currently, Edward Mitchell is working as a Software Engineer at Surescripts, starting in August 2021.

Edward Mitchell has a strong educational background in various fields. Edward completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from Oregon State University in 2019. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Microbiology from the same university, graduating in 2010. Edward Mitchell's academic journey began at the University of Arizona, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Environmental Science from 2003 to 2007.
