Jeff Brown

Jeff Brown has a strong background in database engineering and administration, with a focus on managing teams and implementing projects. Jeff has worked at Surescripts since 2014, where they currently hold the position of Director of Database Engineering and Data Operations. In this role, Jeff leads a team of database engineers and administrators, overseeing database design, programming, and production support. Jeff has also played a key role in expanding the company's data management portfolio to include noSQL and Big Data management tools. Prior to joining Surescripts, Jeff worked at Cargill for over 15 years, holding various roles such as IT Infrastructure Manager, IT Manager, DBA Team Lead/Database Architect, and Senior Database Administrator. Jeff managed global teams of administrators, oversaw database lifecycle projects, and developed resource management processes. Jeff's work at Cargill included supporting the implementation of the global SAP system, creating database architecture for a custom plant automation system, and handling database vendor management.

Jeff Brown attended Iowa State University from 1988 to 1992, where they obtained a Bachelor's of Business Administration degree in Management Information Systems. In 2003, they also obtained the Oracle Certified Professional certification from Oracle.
