Joel Johnson

Joel Johnson has a diverse work experience in the field of information and cloud security. Joel currently holds the position of Senior Cloud Security Engineer at Surescripts since February 2023. Prior to this, they served as Senior Security Engineer at Sun Country Airlines from October 2020 to February 2023. Before joining Sun Country Airlines, Joel worked as an Information Security Engineer at Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc. from March 2019 to October 2020. Joel also held the role of Security Engineer at SPS Commerce from May 2017 to March 2019. Joel's earlier experience includes positions at SPS Commerce as Associate Security Engineer, System Administrator, and Sr. Helpdesk Analyst from May 2016 to 2017, April 2013 to May 2016, and August 2011 to April 2013, respectively. Joel started their career as a Windows System Administrator at St. Olaf College, holding the position from June 2006 to August 2011.

Joel Johnson attended St. Olaf College from 2002 to 2006, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science. Joel furthered their qualifications by obtaining additional certifications. In January 2017, Joel became certified in CompTIA Security+ ce by CompTIA. Later, in May 2020, they obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)².
