Tom Etzel

Tom Etzel is a seasoned software engineer currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Surescripts since November 2023. Previously, Tom held the position of Senior Application Architect at ActiveRADAR, where responsibilities included the architecture and development of internal products using Spring Boot with Kotlin and React, as well as the creation and maintenance of AWS Lambda applications using Python. Tom also has experience in developing CI/CD pipelines, DevOps engineering in AWS, and collaborating with business analysts and stakeholders. Earlier career stages included roles at COUNTRY Financial® as a Senior Application Engineer, Quantum as a Software Engineer, and Blue Earth Interactive as a Senior Web Developer. Tom's foundational experience in the US Army as an Infantry Team Leader also contributed to strong leadership skills. Academic credentials include a B.S. in Web and Digital Media Development from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
