Surescripts

Drew S. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Currently, Drew is working at Surescripts as a Senior Learning Experience Designer, a role they started in November 2022. Prior to this, Drew was employed at the University of Minnesota, where they held various positions. From November 2018 to November 2022, Drew worked as a Learning Experience Designer. From April 2018 to November 2018, they were a Copywriter and Content Strategist. Additionally, from November 2022 to February 2023, Drew served as a Design Consultant at the University of Minnesota. 

Before joining the University of Minnesota, Drew founded and managed Gramma Press from December 2015 to March 2018. From March 2014 to July 2017, Drew worked as an Adjunct Faculty, teaching English, Design, and Publishing courses at Marylhurst University. They also gained experience as a Print Designer at FONOGRAF EDITIONS from March 2015 to March 2017.

Prior to their educational and publishing roles, Drew held the position of Design Director at Octopus Books from January 2013 to January 2017. Before that, they worked at Powell's Books for eight years, starting in September 2008 as a Product Buyer, Marketing, and Publicity employee until August 2016. Lastly, Drew was a Co-Founder and Managing Editor at Poor Claudia from January 2008 to May 2013.

Drew S. completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science, Spanish, and Latin American Studies from the University of Minnesota from 2003 to 2006. In 2005-2006, they also attended Universidad de los Andes (VE) but did not obtain a degree or specify the field of study. They briefly studied at the University of Amsterdam in 2004 without obtaining a degree or specifying the field of study.

Later, in 2011 to 2013, Drew pursued a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Creative Writing from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. 

Drew also holds several additional certifications. In 2023, they obtained an ATD Consulting Skills Certificate from the Association for Talent Development (ATD). They obtained a Change Management Certificate from ATD in 2022. In the same year, they also completed the Google Ads Essential Training course offered by LinkedIn. In 2021, Drew became an Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner certified by IBM.
