Surface Transforms
Samuel Byrd is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in braking systems and vehicle performance. Currently serving as a Brakes System Engineer at Surface Transforms Plc since June 2022, Samuel has previously held positions at AP Racing, including Project Engineer and Design Engineer from November 2016 to December 2021, and at HORIBA MIRA as an Engineer in Braking and Graduate Engineer in Vehicle Performance and Durability between July 2014 and November 2016. Samuel's early career included a Year in Industry as a Mechanical Engineer at QinetiQ from September 2008 to June 2009. Samuel holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Automotive Engineering from the University of Warwick, completed in 2014, and has also undertaken a short course on Braking of Road Vehicles at the University of Bradford in 2016.
