Sunil Movva has worked in a variety of roles in the technology industry since 2000. Sunil began their career as an Intern at MCI Worldcom. In 2000, they also began working at the University of Alabama in Huntsville as a Graduate Research Assistant, where they built open source C++ libraries and Java frontend applications for a data mining toolkit. Sunil then became a Research Associate at the same university, where they built data mining applications for clusters and grids. In 2010, they moved to Oak Ridge National Laboratory as a Research Scientist, CSED - GIST. In 2013, they took on two roles, a Big Data Consultant at Bank of America and a Sr. Software Architect (Big Data) at Cerner Corporation. In 2017, they became Co-Founder/ Chief data scientist at SpeechIntel. Most recently, in 2018, they took on the roles of Head of Engineering and Platform Architect at Sturfee Inc.
Sunil Movva obtained a Master of Science in Computer Science from The University of Alabama in Huntsville between 2000 and 2002. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from the University of Madras between 1995 and 1999.
