Surple build energy analytics software that helps businesses to make smarter energy decisions. The company is based in Newport and was founded in 2019 by Peter Allan, Sean Oldfield and Owen Morgan. Their mission is to eradicate business energy waste.Surple's machine-learning powered software empowers energy professionals to have the mostsignificant impact in their role by streamlining workflows, automating tasks, delivering unique insights and simplifying stakeholder engagement. Surple is compatible with electricity, gas, water and generation data and even comes with built-in weather data as standard. This means that energy managers no longer have to jump between several systems to build a complete picture of their energy consumption.Some of Surple's customers include the Celtic Manor Resort and Newport City Council. Surple won Green Startup of the Year at the Wales Startup Awards and were named as one of TechNation's Rising Stars in 2019. In 2020, the company was selected to join Google's UK Immersion Programme, where the founders received mentorship and support from Google.
