Elio Dean

Elio Dean has held various roles in the oil and gas industry since 2005. From 2005-2007, they were a Junior Reservoir Engineer at Williams Production Company, where they performed reservoir engineering during the early drilling campaign for new Piceance basin assets and analyzed new projects in the Piceance, Uinta and Williston basins. From 2007-2011, they were a Senior Reservoir Engineer at ExxonMobil Development Company, where they optimized waterflood designs for the Dagi waterflood in the Sahaklin Basin (Russia) and was the reservoir engineer during the development drilling and start up of the Kizomba C assets in the Congo Basin (Angola). From 2011-2015, they were a Reservoir Engineer at Surtek, where they performed reservoir engineering studies for clients interested in EOR and was experienced in both black oil and compositional simulation models. From 2015-2018, they were an Assistant Professor/Professor of Practice and Adjunct Professor at Colorado School of Mines. Since 2018, they have been the President and CEO, and Chief Executive Officer and VP Project Development at Surtek.

Elio Dean obtained a BS in Petroleum Engineering from Colorado School of Mines and an MS in Mineral & Energy Economics from the same institution.
