Aaron Song

Aaron Song has a diverse work experience in the field of software development. Aaron started their career as a SAS Analyst for the Auto Insurance Project in 2013, where they developed SAS programs to query and extract large data and also developed web apps for SAS reports. In 2014, they joined Weever Apps Inc. as a Full Stack Web Developer, taking a key role in the development of the appBuilder system, and leading the development of function modules. From 2014 to 2019, Aaron worked at Uptake Canada, initially as a Software Engineer and later as a Senior Software Engineer. Aaron played a key role in developing online sales and service platforms and mobile apps for CAT dealers, designing and implementing web APIs, and integrating external web services. During this time, they also worked on designing and implementing a CRM system and a service workflow system. In 2019, Aaron joined OANDA as a Senior Software Engineer, leading the design and implementation of a new registration platform and building cloud microservices. Currently, they are working at SurveyMonkey as a Senior Software Engineer II, where they are responsible for developing and maintaining high traffic services, developing web apps, and utilizing Python, Kafka, React, Redux, and Next technologies.

Aaron Song received their Master's degree in Computer Software Engineering from McMaster University from 2009 to 2011.
