Frederic Merchant has extensive experience in program management and public service. Currently, Frederic serves as a Commissioner for the Harford County Liquor Control Board, overseeing the enforcement of alcohol laws to ensure public safety in Harford County. Frederic is also a Program Manager at SURVICE Engineering since 2003, where responsibilities include developing performance estimates and managing diverse technical teams. Other roles include volunteering as a coach for Middle School First Lego League teams with Boys and Girls Clubs of America and serving as a Deacon at Mountain Christian Church. Frederic's military background includes serving as Deputy Director at the US Army's Survivability Directorate and Principal Inspector General for the 21st Theater Support Command. Frederic holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and an MGMT degree from the Purdue University Daniels School of Business. Frederic completed the Harford Leadership Academy in 2014.
