Michael Smith

Michael Smith is currently a Robotics Researcher at SURVICE Engineering, a position held since February 2022. Prior experience includes serving as a Robotics Engineer Intern at AKROBOTIX and an ATE Test Engineer Intern at AMD, where responsibilities included designing test programs for ATE chip testing. Additionally, Michael worked as a Controls Engineer Intern at General Motors, focusing on assembly line support and programming PLCs and robots. Earlier experience includes a Signal Integrity Engineer Intern role at Amphenol ICC, testing high-speed connectors, and a position as a Pool Attendant at Allenberry Resort. Michael holds a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence from The Johns Hopkins University, expected to be completed in December 2027, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology, completed in 2021.
