Dan Congel has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Dan began their career in the United States Navy, working as an Engineering Lab Technician/Diver for six years. After leaving the Navy, they joined Cogen Energy Technology as a Control Room Operator. Dan then worked at the New York Independent System Operator as a Supervisor, Customer Settlements. In 2001, they joined Edison Mission Marketing & Trading as a Market Specialist. In 2003, they joined TransCanada as a Manager, Market Development, where they worked until 2017. During this time, they also served as the Chief Financial Officer at Albeck Gerken, Inc. from 2017 to 2019 and as the Director of Finance from 2019 to 2020. From 2020 to 2023, they worked as the Chief Financial Officer at Transportation Control Systems, Inc. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Financial Officer at SurvTech Solutions.
Dan Congel received a Regents Diploma from Lake George High School in 1988. Dan then attended Hudson Valley Community College from 1995 to 1998, where they obtained an AAS in Business. Later, they enrolled in Siena College from 1998 to 2001, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
