Chris Wayne

Chris Wayne is a seasoned engineering leader with over a decade of experience in the technology sector. Currently serving as Director of Engineering at SUSE since June 2021, Chris oversees Kubernetes distributions such as RKE, RKE2, and K3S, while enhancing community engagement and improving release processes. Prior to this role, Chris was a Senior Engineering Manager at SUSE where responsibilities included mentoring engineering teams and defining product roadmaps. Chris's career began at Canonical Ltd., spanning roles from QA Analyst to Engineering Manager, focusing on automated testing and software development for Ubuntu. Chris holds a BS in Information Science and Business from Northeastern University, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
