David Hughes is currently the Deputy General Counsel and Head of Legal for M&A at SUSE, a position held since October 2021. Prior to this role, David worked at Slaughter and May from September 2013 to October 2021, starting as a Trainee and advancing to Corporate Associate. David also gained legal experience as a secondee at Barclays and GE in 2016 and 2015, respectively. Academic credentials include an Accelerated LPC and a GDL from BPP Law School, as well as a degree in Ancient and Modern History from the University of Oxford. David's educational background also includes attendance at Sevenoaks School from 2001 to 2008.
