Ricardo Mateus is a seasoned software architect with extensive experience in high-performance web application development and technical leadership. Currently at SUSE since June 2019, Ricardo leads architectural decisions for the SUSE Manager and Uyuni projects, having previously contributed as a software engineer focused on scalability and performance. Prior to SUSE, Ricardo held roles as a team leader and senior developer at Hexis Technology Hub and e.Near, and as a consultant at Opensoft, where responsibilities included task estimation, documentation, and requirement gathering. Additionally, Ricardo has experience in academia, having lectured on Java programming at Instituto Superior Técnico for multiple editions of the Software & Information System Engineering course. Ricardo holds master's degrees in Computer Engineering and Software Engineering from Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
