Sheng Yang is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in cloud-native technologies. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at SUSE since December 2020, Sheng oversees multiple projects including Longhorn, Harvester, and Opni. Prior roles include Senior Manager of Engineering at SUSE and Sr Engineering Manager at Rancher Labs, where Sheng co-created Project Harvester and led initiatives that drove Longhorn to CNCF Incubating status. With a strong foundation in software engineering developed at companies like Citrix and Intel, Sheng has contributed significantly to projects related to Apache CloudStack and virtualization technologies.
