Vicente Cheng

Vicente Cheng is a Senior Software Engineer at SUSE since June 2022, primarily working on the Harvester project, a cloud-native hyper-converged infrastructure solution. Previously, Vicente served as Deputy Project Manager at Bigtera from January 2016 to June 2022, focusing on Ceph, where responsibilities included bug fixing, performance optimization, and feature implementation. Earlier experience includes roles such as Supervising Engineer and Senior Software Engineer at Quanta Computer Inc. from December 2011 to January 2016, with a concentration on Ceph's core functionalities and performance tuning. Vicente began a career as a Project Employee at National Cheng Kung University from October 2008 to September 2009, working on context-aware systems and ontology, culminating in the publication of a paper in 2012. Vicente holds a Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering from National Sun Yat-Sen University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from National University of Kaohsiung.
