Sustainable Trading was a non-profit membership organisation dedicated to embedding environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices into global markets trading operations.

From 2022 to 2025, it united 67 member firms across 11 countries and three continents, including asset managers, banks, brokers, exchanges, trading venues, technology vendors and service providers. Together, more than 250 professionals collaborated to define industry best practices, create structured ESG frameworks and champion more sustainable and inclusive trading.

In July 2025, following a board recommendation and unanimous member vote, the organisation began a formal wind-down in response to industry and membership shifts. While its operations have concluded, its impact continues: key resources, frameworks and insights remain publicly available to support ongoing progress across the trading ecosystem.
