Tom O'Brien

Tom O'Brien has over 20 years of work experience in the food industry. Tom began their career in 1997 as a Cheesemonger/Cheese Department Manager at Balducci's (Sutton Place Gourmet). In 1999 they moved to Gourm-E-Co Imports as a Key Account Manager/Account Executive, where they were a subject matter expert in specialty cheese, charcuterie, confections, and specialty grocery products. In 2004, they joined Central Market Division of H-E-B as a Cheese & Deli Business Development Manager II/Category Manager II, Specialty Grocery Business Development Manager/Category Manager, and Specialty Foods Buyer/Category Manager. In 2012, they became the National Fresh Foods Category Manager at 7-Eleven. In 2013, they were appointed Senior Director of the Fresh Product Group at KeHE Distributors Inc. In 2017, they joined Marley Spoon as Head of Procurement US, where they managed and developed US Sourcing and Regional Procurement teams and created and drove turn-around plans for US Sourcing & Procurement Team's performance, job satisfaction, and overall team effectiveness & cohesiveness. Most recently, in 2021, they became the Head Of Sourcing at Suvie.

Tom O'Brien holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Connecticut. Tom also holds a certification from GAP called The Complete Skilled Negotiator.
