Phillip Cross, PhD, currently serves as a Senior Process Specialist at Svante since May 2025. Prior experience includes roles as R&D Manager and Principal Engineer at 8 Rivers from December 2020 to June 2025, and as a Research Chemical Engineer at RTI International from September 2018 to December 2020. Academic experience includes a tenure as a Graduate Research Fellow at Auburn University from 2014 to August 2018, along with visiting research positions at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in 2016 and 2018. Before their academic career, Phillip served as an Activity Specialist at SOAR Adventure Camp in 2014, where responsibilities involved guiding youth with ADD/ADHD in outdoor activities. Phillip holds a PhD in Engineering from Auburn University and a BS in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from the University of Wyoming.
