Ping Song is a Senior MOF Chemist at Svante since May 2021, leading a team in the development of new metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) for CO2 capture and overseeing pilot-scale production efforts. Prior to this role, Ping served as a Material Scientist at Hydrogen In Motion Inc., focusing on hydrogen storage materials for fuel cells, and as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of Calgary, where expertise was applied in designing nanomaterials and membranes for various environmental applications. Earlier experience includes a Research Scientist position at the National Research Centre for Geoanalysis, where analytical methods were developed, and several teaching and outreach roles throughout an academic career. Ping holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Peking University, a BS in Chemistry from Beijing Normal University, and has acted as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Calgary.
