Gary Yacoubian

Gary Yacoubian has had a long and successful career in the audio and video industry. From 2011 to present, they have served as President, CEO, and Managing Partner of SVS Sound, a global leader in high performance home audio products. Theirresponsibilities include managing all aspects of operations, designing and manufacturing, selling subwoofers and speakers, and supervising all aspects of marketing, internet/social media strategy, product design/development, and sales. From 2009 to 2011, they served as Senior Strategic Advisor to the Head Monster and Vice President of Strategic Development at Monster Cable Products, a manufacturer of connectivity solutions, headphones, power conditioning products, audio products, and numerous other premium accessories. Gary was responsible for product development and product management, engineering and compliance, marketing, PR and corporate communications, product packaging, signage and POP solutions, Internet strategy, and all social media strategy. From 1988 to 2009, they were President and COO of MyerEmco AudioVideo, a closely-held audio/video specialty retail chain offering customers in the Washington, DC area exceptional individualized service, quality brand name products and systems, expert advice, and professional whole-house system design and installation. Theirresponsibilities included supervising all aspects of sales, operations and finance of the Company’s retail stores and Custom Installation Division, including the sales of Custom Installation, high-end Home Theater and Mobile Electronics through those stores.

Gary Yacoubian obtained a MBA from the University of Maryland between 1988 and 1991. Gary also obtained a BA in Philosophy from Kenyon College between 1975 and 1979. In addition, they obtained an MBA certification from the University of Maryland in January 1992.
