Peter Smit has over three decades of experience in the field of intelligent traffic systems and engineering. Currently serving as Productmanager ITS at SWARCO Nederland B.V. since November 2010, Peter shapes ITS products for the Dutch market. Prior experience includes roles as Productmanager for Urban Traffic Systems at PEEK Traffic BV, managing the lifecycle of the PEEK Traffic Controller, and as Manager Engineering at the same company. Peter also held positions at Siemens Nederland N.V. as Productmanager and Projectmanager, overseeing software development for Intelligent Traffic Systems, and served as a Hard- en software developer at Van Rietschoten en Houwens. Peter holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Technische informatica from Hogeschool Rotterdam, completed in 1983.
