Doug Newell

Doug Newell has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several decades. Doug is currently the Founder and CEO of Swarmalytics, a position they have held since February 2021.

Before founding Swarmalytics, Doug was the Founder and Managing Director of Calexus Solutions LLC, where they worked from April 2010 to February 2022.

Doug also served as the Chairman and CEO of Haystagg, Inc. from May 2013 to June 2017.

Prior to that, they were the Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Predilytics, Inc. from November 2011 to May 2015.

In addition, Doug has experience in founding and leading Genalytics, Inc., where they served as President and Founder from March 2007 to January 2009.

Before Genalytics, they founded Tessera GmbH, a European subsidiary of Tessera Enterprises, where they worked from June 1996 to May 1998.

Doug also held various roles at Tessera Enterprise Systems and iXL/Tessera, serving as VP from 1995 to 1998.

Doug began their career as VP Analytics and Consulting at Epsilon Data Management, Inc. in April 1983, and held this position until March 1995.

During their time at Epsilon, Doug also served as the VP of Analytics and Consulting at the American Express, Inc., Epsilon Data Management Division from 1988 to 1994.

Doug Newell earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Washington and Lee University, where they studied from 1970 to 1974. Doug further pursued their education at William & Mary - Raymond A. Mason School of Business, where they obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Quantitative Methods. Doug attended this prestigious institution from 1977 to 1979.
