Sweet Nectar Shop began as a Boutique Spa founded on the belief that caring for ourselves helps us care for others. While creating the atmosphere for our space, we searched for candles that captured the feeling we wanted our guests to experience. When we couldn't find exactly what we were looking for, we created our own.

Along the way, our custom candles began to take on a life of their own—growing beyond the walls of the spa, selling online, partnering with businesses across the country to develop their own signature scents, and building a candle subscription. As demand grew, so did our business—expanding into custom scent development, larger wholesale partnerships, and a dedicated warehouse space.

After transitioning ownership of our spa to focus fully on product development and growing our candle collections, we realized that what we missed most was the people. The meaningful conversations, the sense of community, and the simple joy of bringing people together had always been at the heart of what we loved. We wanted a space to connect and allow customers to experience our candle collections in person.

That evolution led to the opening of Sweet Nectar Shop in Ada, Michigan, in 2026. More than a candle store, it's a place to discover products, gifts, and experiences designed to celebrate life's sweetest moments.

At the heart of the shop are our handcrafted candles, still hand-poured by our team and created to evoke memories, set the tone for a space, and make everyday moments feel a little more special. Our candle-making classes extend that mission, bringing people together to create something meaningful while crafting a scent that tells their unique story.

One thing we know for certain: life is what we choose to make it. We hope Sweet Nectar Shop serves as a reminder to slow down, celebrate often and gather together. Because the moments we create together are what make life truly sweet.
