Chris Batie

Chris Batie is a highly experienced professional with a combined 40 years in aircraft and rocket building and inspection. Currently serving as the Lead Structure Technician at Swift Engineering, Inc. since June 2022, Chris previously worked at SpaceX from May 2005 to May 2020 as a Structures Technician and Quality Inspector. Chris also held the position of Structural Technician Lead at McDonnell Douglas/Boeing from September 1979 to May 2005, where responsibilities included instructing and assigning daily tasks to technicians. Chris's expertise includes involvement in significant programs such as the Space Station and Solid Rocket Boosters, further demonstrating a solid foundation in the aerospace industry. Chris holds a High School Diploma from Decatur, Alabama.
