Matthew Goode is an experienced engineering manager currently at Swift Navigation since March 2023. Previously, Matthew served as a Senior Software Design Engineer at u-blox from October 2016 to March 2023 and worked as a Geodesist at Fugro from November 2011 to September 2016, contributing to the research and development group at Fugro Intersite B. V. Matthew began an academic journey at Newcastle University, earning a PhD in Geodesy as part of the Geomatics research group between July 2008 and June 2014, with a thesis focused on quality control procedures for precise point positioning. Prior to the PhD, Matthew gained practical experience as a Postgraduate Research Assistant and as an Assistant Land Surveyor at Sterling Surveys Limited. Matthew holds a BSc (Hons) in Surveying and Mapping Science from Newcastle University, completed in 2008.
