Sheetal Patel

VP, People at Swift Navigation

Sheetal Patel is the Vice President of People at Swift Navigation. Sheetal has over fifteen years of experience in Human Resources, with a focus on employee engagement and policy development.

Sheetal began their career as an HR Consultant with Zensar Technologies in 2015. In this role, they supported the HR Business Partner with ongoing projects throughout the organization, including employee engagement. Sheetal also evaluated personnel files, HR policies, procedures and systems to identify needs for enhancements.

In 2016, Sheetal joined Velodyne LiDAR, Inc. as the Vice President of Policy, Community and Public Engagement. In this role, they were responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures related to employee engagement, community outreach, and public relations. Sheetal also managed the staffing process, including sourcing, scheduling, reference and background checks, onboarding, and off-boarding. In addition, Sheetal developed trainings on performance management and reviewed and negotiated vendor agreements and statements of work.

Prior to joining Velodyne LiDAR, Inc., Sheetal was the Senior Human Resources Manager at ForteEdge Inc. In this role, they functioned as the HR department of one and supported the overall HR department. Sheetal managed all HR functions, including benefits administration, compensation, immigration process, employee relations, leave management, etc.

Sheetal has a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources from Mumbai University and is certified in Six Sigma Green Belt from ASQ.

Sheetal Patel has a degree in Human Resource Management from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Sheetal also has a BSc in Human Development and Family Studies from Maharaja Sayajirao University. Sheetal is certified in HR Management from UC Santa Cruz.
