Gary Mercer

Gary Mercer is a seasoned marketing leader with extensive experience in the financial services sector. Currently serving as the Global Head of Marketing Communications at SWIFT since September 2021, Gary focuses on marketing strategy, product marketing, client engagement, and content marketing. Prior to this role, Gary held various positions at HSBC, including Head of Product Marketing, where responsibilities spanned Cash Management, Trade Finance, and Securities Services, as well as Interim Head of Marketing Strategy for Global Banking & Markets. Gary's career also includes senior marketing management roles at Lloyds Banking Group and RBS Global Transaction Services. Gary holds a BA (Hons) in Leisure Marketing from Bournemouth University.
