Geert Maes has been with SWIFT since September 1992, currently serving as the Manager of the Center of Expertise for Business Applications, after transitioning from roles including Center of Expertise Senior Engineer and System Analyst. In the current role, Geert provides support for SWIFTNet protocols and focuses on the Australian payment system since 2014. Prior experience includes aiding SWIFT developers in implementing technical protocols and leading the development of an Executive Information System. Geert's career began at SWIFT Terminal Services in December 1989, where responsibilities included analysis for various finance applications and maintaining software development methodologies. Geert holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Université libre de Bruxelles, achieved in 1990.
