Phil O.

Phil O. is a Senior AI Engineer at SWIFT, where they develop intelligent financial crime compliance systems. Prior to this, they worked as a Machine Vision Specialist at Wärtsilä Guidance Marine, focusing on autonomous vessel navigation technologies. Phil held multiple roles at Loughborough University, including Senior Research Associate in Intelligent Automation, where they advanced smart manufacturing research, and earlier as a Research Associate, creating flexible automation systems. They began their career with internships at Shell and Nestlé. Phil earned a PhD in Mechatronics and Intelligent Automation from Loughborough University and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University. Currently, they also serve as a Visiting Academic at Loughborough University.
