Thomas Delaet

Thomas was appointed Chief Product Officer in August 2025, taking on responsibility for leading the development and enhancement of Swift’s product portfolio across payments, securities, digital assets, AI, and customer engagement.

In this role, he oversees the global product team focused on delivering innovative solutions and improving existing offerings to meet the evolving needs of Swift’s banking, securities, market infrastructure, and corporate customers.

Prior to joining Swift, Thomas was a Partner at McKinsey & Company in Brussels, where he specialised in digital transformations for financial institutions. He led McKinsey’s global DevOps work and co-led the Cloud by McKinsey initiative, helping clients modernise IT architecture, adopt public cloud, and scale agile ways of working.

Thomas holds a PhD in Computer Science (focused on automation of large-scale IT infrastructures), an MS in Informatics from KU Leuven, and a BS in Mathematics from Sint-Theresiacollege Kapelle-op-den-Bos.
