Klas Ekwall

Klas Ekwall has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Klas is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Finovation AB since January 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Chief Technology Innovation Officer and Partner at Swimbird AB from December 2018 to January 2022. Klas also co-founded and served as a partner at Awetec Labs AB from April 2018 to January 2022, and was a CRDO at Reg&Tech Solutions AB from April 2018 to December 2018.

Klas Ekwall has a significant background in the technology sector, particularly in the development and management of trading systems. Klas was the Head of Development at Baymarkets from October 2008 to their present role, where they co-founded the company and worked with notable clients such as Oslo Börs, UBS, PVM, Singapore Exchange, and FinTech startups.

Before their role at Baymarkets, Klas Ekwall was a Freelance IT Consultant and founder of KE IT & MANAGEMENT, providing services from August 2006 to 2008. Klas also worked as a Developer & Architect at Glocalnet in 2005, and as a Consultant at Software Innovation from 2002 to 2005.

Klas Ekwall started their career as a Senior Software Developer Consultant at Mynta Management & IT AB, where they worked from 1997 to 2001. Klas also gained experience as an MIS student at Hawaii Pacific University from 1993 to 1995.

Klas Ekwall pursued their education in a chronological manner. From 1994 to 1997, they attended Hawaii Pacific University and earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Information Systems. Prior to that, from 1990 to 1993, they studied at Örebro University, where they obtained a Fil Kand degree in Systemvetenskaplig Linje.
