SwimSafe was founded in 2005 in the basement of Cary Belyea’s home. Cary had spent years in various aspects of pool management including as a lifeguard, pool manager, swimming coach, instructor and as the president and general manager with a national pool management company.

By 2006, SwimSafe was managing five pools. Since that time, growth has been steady and strong. The company specializes in the management of country clubs, swim clubs, municipal pools and Homeowner Association Pools (HOAs) providing comprehensive turnkey services. In 2012, SwimSafe added a Renovation and Repair Division to extend the services it offers its customers. SwimSafe currently maintains a staff of seven full-time year-round employees and retains more than 400 seasonal workers. The company was ranked 18th in the 2012 Cincinnati Business Courier Fast 55.
