Charles Callis has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles in various organizations. Charles started their career as a Volunteer Interpreter at Justice For Our Neighbors-Southeastern Michigan in 2015. In 2016, they worked as a Summer Fellow at Focus:HOPE and later as a Field Organizer at the Michigan Coordinated Campaign.

In 2017, Charles worked as a Legislative Intern at the Office of U.S. Senator Gary Peters, where they completed various policy and communications-related projects.

From 2018 to their current position, Charles has been working at Swing Left.
