Mance Harmon

Mance Harmon is the CEO and Co-Founder of Swirlds. Swirlds is a company that creates distributed ledger technology. Prior to their time at Swirlds, Mr.Harmon was the CEO and Co-Founder of Hedera Hashgraph from August 2017 to May 2022. At Hedera Hashgraph, they created a platform that offered a distributed public ledger that enabled anyone to easily develop secure, fair, lightning-fast decentralized applications.

Mr.Harmon has also held the position of Head of Labs at Ping Identity from May 2013 to October 2016. As Head of Ping Labs, they were responsible for managing the organization that facilitated Discovery and Innovation, contributed to New Product Planning, provided Technical Analysis and support, and Fostered a Reputation of market leadership.

Lab activities included uncovering opportunities, shaping value propositions, identifying new product requirements, building prototypes, performing technical due diligence, and contributing to the building of a developer ecosystem.

Prior to their time at Ping Identity, Mr.Harmon was the Sr. Director of Security Products at Symbol Technologies (Motorola) from June 2004 to August 2005.

Mance Harmon has a MS in Computer Science from University of Massachusetts Amherst and a BS in Computer Science from Mississippi State University.
