Tom Borer

Tom Borer has extensive experience in the aviation industry, currently serving on the EASA safety promotion taskforce for fuel and flight planning since January 2023. Tom has been with Swiss International Air Lines since February 1996, holding various titles including Captain, Project Leader for OM A Harmonisation LH Group, Project Team Member for flight planning system implementation, Manager and Team Leader for Route Support, as well as First Officer. Additionally, Tom was involved with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) as a member of the RCG AFI from 2009 to 2013. Tom's educational background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus on Marketing and HR from Fernfachhochschule Schweiz, an air traffic pilot license from Schweizerische Luftverkehrsschule, and preliminary studies in economic sciences at the University of Basel. Tom completed secondary education with an Abitur in Natural Sciences from Deutsche Schule Teneriffa.
