Rafael D.

Rafael D. is currently a Student Pilot at Lufthansa Aviation Training Group since June 2023. Rafael's diverse experience includes serving in the Swiss Armed Forces from June 2016, holding the ranks of Captain, First Lieutenant, and Second Lieutenant. As an RPAS Operator at SwissDrones Operating AG since June 2021, Rafael operates unmanned aircraft and conducts safety assessments and mission planning. Additionally, Rafael has worked in Flight Dispatch for Swiss International Air Lines since September 2022, managing flight preparations and coordinating ATC slots for long-haul flights. Prior to this, Rafael served as Duty Manager at Airline Assistance Switzerland AG, overseeing flight operations and staff, and held roles including Turnaround Coordinator. Rafael holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Operational Engineering from ZHAW School of Engineering and has completed advanced military training.
