Nicolas Stephan is currently the Ressortleiter at Swissmem, a position held since 2002. Previously, they served as Projektleiter Standortförderung at the Staatssekretariat für Wirtschaft (seco) from 1997 to 2002, where they contributed to the "Standort Schweiz" project. Additionally, Nicolas was a member of the Verwaltungsrat at Stephan SA from 2015 to 2024. They completed their education at the Université de Genève from 1992 to 1995, followed by a postgraduate diploma in International Studies from Universität Wien in 1996.
