Danielle Glick

Head of Computational Biology at Switchback Systems

Danielle Glick has extensive work experience in the field of computational biology and scientific research. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Computational Biology at Switchback Systems since January 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Computational Biologist at Synthego Corporation from March 2019 to January 2021.

Before joining Synthego Corporation, Danielle served as a Staff Scientist at Bio-Rad Laboratories from April 2018 to February 2019. Danielle also assumed the role of Senior Scientist / Software Developer II at the same company from August 2015 to April 2018.

Danielle started their career as a Web Developer, working on a self-employed project that involved building tools for biology research. Danielle utilized various technologies such as Django, AngularJS, and PostgreSQL database for this project. Danielle worked as a Web Developer from November 2013 to July 2015.

Furthermore, Danielle gained valuable experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Illinois at Chicago from November 2011 to October 2013. During their time there, their research focused on nutrient utilization of embryonic stem cells and the influence of nutrients on cell differentiation.

Danielle Glick obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Cell Biology from the University of California, Davis, where they undertook their studies from 2000 to 2005. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Cancer Biology at the University of Chicago, completing their doctoral program from 2005 to 2011.
