Joe Morbitzer

Joe Morbitzer is an experienced Senior Controls Engineer with a strong background in control strategy development and software for electric and hybrid vehicles. Currently employed at SwitchBox since July 2024, Joe previously contributed to Exro Technologies Inc. and New Eagle, where expertise in Raptor and MotoHawk code generation tools facilitated the development of advanced electric vehicle supervisory software. Prior to this, Joe worked at MotoTron, focusing on model-based hybrid vehicle control strategies, and led a student project team at Challenge X, achieving notable success in competitive vehicle design. Joe holds both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University.
