Ian Griffiths

Ian Griffiths has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Ian started their career in 2000 as a Junior Systems Engineer at Computer Systems Australia, where they worked until 2005. In 2006, they joined the University of Newcastle as a Doctoral Student and completed their studies in 2011. Following that, they worked at Safearth from 2011 to 2022, initially as a Consulting Engineer and later as a Senior Engineer. At Safearth, they held various responsibilities such as team leadership, project oversight, product planning, software architecture and design, and full stack software development using technologies like C#, Node.js, Vue.js, GraphQL, and AWS platforms. Ian also contributed to improving quality processes for software development, including CI/CD, MRs, and testing. Currently, they are working at SwitchDin as a Systems Design Manager, starting from May 2022.

Ian Griffiths earned their Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from the University of Newcastle from 2001 to 2005. Ian further pursued their education at the same university and obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Engineering from 2006 to 2014.
