Ian Hutton

Ian Hutton has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Ian is currently the Head of Product Engineering at Switchee, where they lead the Product Management and Engineering functions. Ian is also a member of the company's leadership team. Prior to this, Ian worked as the Head of Product and Product Lead at Hive | Centrica Hive Limited from 2013 to 2020. At Hive, they were responsible for managing a team of product managers and overseeing the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of the end-to-end customer experience in the heating category. Ian also led the development and launch of Hive's ground-breaking remote diagnostics service for central heating, called Boiler IQ. Before their time at Hive, Ian owned Hutton Photography from 2011 to 2013. Ian also worked at Symbian Foundation as the Head of Roadmapping from 2009 to 2010 and at Nokia as a Principal OS Product Manager in 2009. Ian's longest tenure was at Symbian Ltd, where they held several roles including Product Manager, Deputy Head of Licensee Product Development, and Senior Technical Consultant from 2001 to 2009. Ian started their career at UIQ Technology as a Senior Software Engineer from 1999 to 2001. Prior to that, Ian worked at Psion Software as a Technical Consultant and Software Engineer, contributing to the development of the EPOC operating system for mobile devices. Overall, Ian Hutton has a strong background in product management and engineering, with expertise in the technology and heating sectors.

Ian Hutton obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Physics with Computing from the University of Warwick. Ian attended the university from 1992 to 1995.
