Tom Robins

Tom Robins has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles.

Tom began their career as an Analyst at Invensys in 2001. Tom then joined ExxonMobil in 2004, where they participated in a Summer Graduate Scheme and successfully identified £16 million in productivity savings in just eight weeks.

In 2005, Tom joined Newton Europe Limited as a Business Manager, responsible for driving operational improvement programs for clients in the Air, Land & Sea sector.

After that, they became the Chief Operating Officer at BIPB, a Business Intelligence Consultancy. During their time there, they led the operational turnaround of the company and successfully sold it to Keyrus, a French listed Business Intelligence market leader.

Tom later joined Capita as a Business Development Director in the Group Strategic Sales team. Tom was responsible for identifying customer's target outcomes and delivering results for big ticket opportunities.

In 2017, Tom joined Board Intelligence as a Commercial Director, where they oversaw the development and implementation of their SaaS platform for better board decisions.

Tom then moved to Community Fibre Limited, where they served as the Chief Strategy Officer and later as the Chief Development Officer. Tom played a pivotal role in shaping the company's strategy and expanding their teams in various areas such as wayleave acquisition, B2B, wholesale, and 5G.

Tom's most recent roles include Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Executive Officer at Switchee, a company focused on improving the lives of people living in rented homes. As CEO, they are responsible for the overall leadership and executive control of the business, setting the company's vision and mission, hiring the right people, and fundraising.

Additionally, Tom is currently a Governor and Member of the Audit Committee at WM College, the oldest Further Education College in the country, where they provide challenge and support to the college leadership team.

Overall, Tom Robins has a strong background in strategy, business development, and operational improvement, with experience across various sectors and industries.

Tom Robins obtained their MEng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge from 2001 to 2005. Tom then pursued further education in Organizational Leadership at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, completing the Management Acceleration Programme from 2011 to 2012. Prior to their university education, they attended Taunton School from 1999 to 2001 and Ladymead Community School from 1994 to 1999, but did not obtain any specific degrees or fields of study from these institutions.
