John Nakano

John Nakano is the Senior Director of Sales and Account Management at Switchfly. John has been with the company for 10 years and 8 months, during which time they have also held the positions of Sr. Director of Strategic Account Management APAC and Sr. Director of Global Support Services. In their current role, John is responsible for building the Global Support Services as part of the Global Technical Operations organization. Prior to joining Switchfly, John was the Manager of Technical Support at Teachscape, where they were responsible for managing teams providing technical support for all Teachscape core products, as well as the technologies used for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation's MET Project (Measures of Effective Teaching). John has also served as Sr. Manager of Technical Support at ezRez Software and Supervisor of Passenger Service Planning HNLKIG at Japan Airlines. John began their career as an Assistant Language Teacher with the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program (JET). John holds a bachelor's degree in Japanese from the University of California, Berkeley.

John Nakano attended the University of Hawai‘i System from 1994 to 1999, where they earned a Bachelors in Business Administration. John was a collegiate golfer on scholarship and also minored in Japanese Studies.
