Lee Ellis

SWOG Vice Chair for Translational Medicine

Lee Ellis is the SWOG Vice Chair for Translational Medicine and a Clinical Research Professor at the Institute of Human Health and Disease Intervention, Division of Research at Florida Atlantic University, where they recently joined. Lee has held numerous leadership roles in cancer research, including serving on the Board of Directors for the Hope Foundation and as Co-Chair of the NCI NCTN Core Correlative Sciences Committee. They have been a faculty member at the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center since 1993, where they also hold the Ruben Distinguished Chair in Gastroenterology Cancer Research. Lee completed a Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Virginia and underwent surgical residency at the University of Florida.
